WSince launch of new app why have all the available funds gone back to pending

Since we have launched the new ZIPZERO app, we have implemented changes in the way you can use your units. In the new app, any units you have are ‘Base Rewards’ units (carried from the old app) and will be seen as ‘Pending’ until they are made ‘Available’ by earning equivalent Premium Reward Units in the new app through online shopping. Also, any outstanding payments made that were not processed in the previous version of the app have been voided and the Reward Units have been returned to your ZIPZERO wallet (with the status of ‘pending’) in the new version of the app.
We appreciate that this major change to the app may have you feeling disappointed and unsure about how you are now going to spend your units. But please be assured, what you have accumulated has not been lost. It is 'Pending' until it is made 'Available' through the premium rewards you get for every online purchase you make on the app.
We are also planning to launch a feature where you will be able to receive Premium Reward Units for in-store shopping (receipt scanning) in the first quarter of 2022. Receipt scanning will once again be a way to pay your bills without the need for Online Shopping!
After what happened with ZIPZERO last year, we wanted to find a way that would keep us from being dependent on an outside investor or funds. We have achieved this through the new version of the app – thanks to online shopping. While we had to bring your balance back to pending and return your funds from payments made in the old app, the good news is that our new online premium shopping function lets users earn more rewards for their purchases and it also helps cover the rewards earned from non-premium shopping. We are looking forward to our users using this Christmas season to earn maximum rewards in the app, freeing up the funds from the old app that are currently ‘pending’ and make them available.
